What's Wrong?

Jack goes silent after his small fit and doesn't talk to Merithda, she feels pretty upset thinking it was her fault, she tries to keep close to him as he was walking fast and then looks at him from afar as she tries her best to keep her voice strong.

"If I upset you, I am very sorry, I' wish I was not here...I wish I was back in my own land, I am so sorry if I made you mad...I truly am Jack..."

She says her heart wrenching, the boy stopped and just looked at his hand.

"It's...nothing you did...I just..."

He looked at her closely and then looked away again beginning to walk harder, he gulped hard as he approached the entrance.

"Look, it's the exit. I will help you get home..."

Merithda looked delighted and hugged Jack very tightly as she walked ahead, silently he whispered to himself.

"Meri..."

He said then felt pain overcome him again, why was this so painful..why did that name strike him so hard? From afar, a certain boogieman smirked inwardly.

"I told you, dear Jack, you can't hide anything from me, including your past."

He smirked holding a small bit of sand in the shape of a child.

"And hidden, it will remain, for now..."

He smirked dissapearing with the memory.
