OC X Canon Debate

Okay. So I see this a lot and people always seem to attack others based on who they ship their OC with . Now, I have a revelation to declare on this.

I do it too.

I ship my OC's with canon characters, why? cause it's fun and it makes for making interesting stories of how they get on with the character paired with. This doesn't mean it's like a love relationship, this is more often my characters being friendly with the canon character and trying to understand them.

Take Krystal, from my Dying to Know You , story. It is not shown often, but in the friendship sense, she is shipped with Jeff. She is trying her best to make Jeff see his senses, often failing and wondering why she bothers with her fight to make him return to the person she used to know.

And I also hate to say this, but every character created, Creepy Pasta and all...THEY ARE ALL SOMEONES CREATION. meaning, they are ALL an OC. In reality there are no canon creations, cause . Every creation has an owner, obviously, if the creator of the OC states they can't be shipped with each other. Then you should respect their wish.  [Even though I know fans went against the wish of one of these creators and caused them to quit the fandom, thanks, crazy fangirls.]

I think, that as long as you don't go over board with your OC and their relationship, then go for it , have a blast and have fun. Just know, the character you use is not your own. So you have no claims on them.

But uh, that's all.
